COMPLANT's project "Technological Innovation and Application Prospects of In-Situ Ecological Restoration Guided by Indigenous Microorganisms" won the Excellence Award at the 4th Central Enterprise Yixing Innovation and Creativity Competition.

It is understood that the competition was co-organized by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and other institutions. A total of 5,067 projects were recommended by major central enterprises and local SASACs, focusing on nine major strategic emerging industry tracks including integrated circuits, industrial mother machines, next-generation mobile communications, industrial software, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, new energy, and new energy vehicles. About 50,000 people registered for the competition. After more than a year, the organizing committee conducted professional selection through six competition stages including project collection, preliminary selection, re-selection, mentor guidance, docking roadshows, and the final, selecting 200 projects including first, second, third prizes and excellence awards. As an important measure for SASAC to accelerate the implementation of the innovation-driven development strategy and promote the renewal of strategic emerging industries and the launch of future industries, the Central Enterprise Yixing Innovation and Creativity Competition is held every two years. It gives priority to supporting incubated enterprises of the competition as pioneer enterprises, aiming to stimulate the innovation vitality of central enterprises, give play to their leading role, optimize the allocation of innovation resources, discover outstanding innovation achievements, foster new development drivers, and drive the integrated development of large, medium and small enterprises.

Leaders of COMPLANT attached great importance to this competition and organized special research and guidance. Based on the successful practices of technological innovation, achievement transformation and application model innovation in the in-situ ecological restoration of Baiyangdian Lake, the company's Xiong'an Working Group fully committed to careful preparation in combination with the implementation plan of the company's biological environmental protection strategic emerging tasks. It stood out in the fierce competition in the biotechnology track with a gathering of high and new technologies, and won the recognition of the competition organizing committee and the expert review team.
